I am:
- An undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science at Sixth College, University of California, San Diego.
- The Linux Platform Manager for Blender, a multi-platform complex 3-d modelling, animation and compositing package, among other things.
- A Network Security and Cryptography Researcher who has been involved with a few projects along the way.
Papers:
- I wrote a paper which describes a collision-resistant variation on the SHA family of cryptographic hashing algorithms which I called ASH. It's webpage can be found by clicking here. (The algorithm has since been revised and a paper detailing these revisiions as well as abstracting out the concepts involved will be available sooner or later...)
Blogs:
- I frequently update my Livejournal (ATOM - RSS)
- I also maintain another blog on this webspace which is updated every so often. (No xml feed at this time, sorry.)
Other Projects: (This section is long out of date)
- WAR is an online web-based space-age strategy simulation (read: game) that I'm currently working on.
- FOML is the home to some web-based games I was formerly involved with and still maintain.
- I have a page which discusses a series of largely unsuccessful attempts at trying to switch to a Polyphasic Sleep Schedule. (Includes interviews by Nick Wan who is also mentioned below.)
- We took an individual by the name of Nick Wan and put him in a box for 5 hours, 6 minutes to raise $150 for our robotics team. This is his account of how that all worked out.
- I was the student representative on the California State PTA board of managers during the 2004-2005 term. This directly resulted in the creation of The California State PTA Forums. I also successfully advocated against Resolution D at the 2005 State PTA Convention which resulting in the delegation referring this resolution back to the board of managers for further study.
